CBD and Yoga: How They Work Together For A Better Life

Have you considered what a CBD-infused yoga regimen entails? It’s not a novel concept to combine CBD and Yoga. It turns out that the two have a long history together. Cannabis is one of the five holy plants mentioned in the Vedas (the Hindu spiritual books), and it is claimed that a guardian angel resides within its leaves. Cannabis is a source of happiness, a drug that brings joy, and something that was generously given to people to help them be free of anxiety and fear, according to the Vedas.

Yoga is a Sanskrit verse that means “to be made whole” or “to join.” It, like cannabis, can be used to relieve anxiety and dread in mind. Yoga is the ultimate release, allowing us to connect with our infinite potential. Yoga is a healthy practice for the body, mind, and spirit that asks us to concentrate our energies via pranayama (breathwork) and asana (postures). It encourages relaxation while also increasing strength and providing motivation to live more consciously in our daily life.

Why CBD and Yoga are Heavenly?

CBD and Yoga

Yoga regimen infused with CBD There’s a reason yoga has exploded in popularity in Western culture in recent decades. It’s fantastic for decreasing stress, worry, and depression, which far too many individuals face daily in our modern, fast-paced culture. CBD is an excellent yoga supplement. This non-psychoactive cannabinoid has been found to have a remarkable influence on our endocannabinoid system, aiding in promoting mental clarity and physical equilibrium.

What happens when you add yoga with CBD?

We’d like to believe it’s nothing short of supernatural. While CBD won’t get you high, it can help you relax greatly. When you combine it with a moderate yoga program that encourages you to do the same, you’ve got yourself a recipe for feeling fantastic.

Aside from the incredible advantages of CBD and yoga for inducing relaxation, the physical benefits of the two together are unrivaled. CBD, like yoga, may help maintain healthy joints and muscles. Yoga and CBD can also aid in the recovery process after a workout.

When it comes to mixing CBD with yoga, you have a few alternatives. You’re likely to discover a yoga studio providing “ganja yoga” sessions if you reside in one of the states that have legalized recreational cannabis (think Colorado, California, Oregon, and Washington).

On the other hand, many of these programs are targeted at mixing THC-laced marijuana with a conventional yoga practice.

Some yoga studios have welcomed the idea of combining CBD with yoga. If you’re lucky enough to live near one of these studios, we recommend checking out a lesson! CBD combined with your at-home yoga practice will provide you with the same benefits as going to the studio. It’s a lot more practical for many people than trying to find a CBD yoga studio. All you’ll need is a small amount of CBD and a yoga mat.

A CBD-Inspired Yoga Routine

CBD and Yoga

We encourage you to relax your body, mind, and soul by combining a potent plant extract with traditional yoga postures. Allow yourself a few moments to warm up before beginning this easy CBD-inspired yoga sequence. Set out your mat, light a candle, and get a bottle of CBD tincture.

We prefer to start our CBD-inspired yoga program with a 10–15 minute meditation because CBD tincture takes a while to kick in (15–40 minutes, depending on the technique you choose).

Prepare for this soothing, CBD-inspired exercise by crossing your legs at the top of your mat. Place your preferred CBD serving size under your tongue while establishing an intention for your practice. Consider the intention you’ve established while you let the tincture sit beneath your tongue for 1-2 minutes.

After you’ve consumed your tincture, begin this routine in Savasana by lying down on your mat (we told you it was gentle). The objective of starting this CBD-infused yoga routine in Savasana is to give the CBD enough time to work its magic in the body. Before going on to the rest of your routine, spend at least 10 minutes in this relaxation position.

Corpse Pose (Savasana):

Close your eyes and relax in the beautiful silence that envelops you. Lie there for a few seconds, breathing deeply in and out without straining the breath or the body in any way.

While Savasana is usually designated for the conclusion of yoga sequences (you’ll be doing it again at the end of this one), we like to start our CBD-inspired yoga routine in this resting posture to give the CBD tincture time to work.

Starting with Savasana, which is meant for complete relaxation, sets the tone for the practice’s goal while enabling the CBD to interact with the endocannabinoid system.

Knees-to-Chest (Apasana):

On an exhale, raise both knees to your chest for the Knees-to-Chest position after you’ve allowed yourself 10–15 minutes in Savasana (Apasana). Maintain a flat back by lowering your sacrum and tailbone to the floor, gently tucking your chin, and focusing your eyes along the centerline of your body.

Hold this posture for 10–15 seconds, concentrating on deep inhalations and slow, lengthy exhalations. Rep 2–3 times more. Knees-to-Chest posture is a great way to calm down. This soft stance can also aid in the reduction of excessive anger and is beneficial to people who have high blood pressure. It’s also great for easing lower back discomfort.

Supine Twist (Jathara Parivartanasana):

Inhale deeply and raise the right knee to your chest after releasing the legs from Apasana. Interlace your fingers and hold for 10–15 seconds, focusing on each breath as you inhale and exhale deeply. Take your knee and gently twist to the left side of your body on your final exhalation.

Hold this position for as long as you like, breathing deeply in and softly out of the body. We prefer to hold this posture for 1–3 minutes, but you won’t grow weary of it because it isn’t particularly energetic. In fact, the longer you stay, the more profound the release will be. Rep on the other side of your body.

This is an awesome pose for tuning into the body and allowing yourself to relax completely. It’s also amazing for reducing upper back and neck pain and opening tight shoulder and chest muscles. It’s the perfect release for anyone who sits at a desk or in front of the computer all day.

Supine twist combined with CBD should melt away any lingering tension you’re holding onto from the day.

Cat/Cow (Marjaryasana/Bitilasana):

This is a fantastic position for tuning in to your body and letting go fully. It’s also great for relieving upper back and neck pain, as well as stretching out tight shoulder and chest muscles. It’s the ideal break for everyone who spends their days seated at a desk or in front of a computer.

Supine twists coupled with CBD should help to relieve any residual stress from the day.

The Cat/Cow position is extremely helpful to the mind. It not only helps to boost prana (the body’s life force energy), but it also helps to develop purposeful attention. If you’re feeling a little scattered (and who isn’t these days? ), cat/cow is a great posture to try. It’s also beneficial for establishing emotional equilibrium.

Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana):

Exhale deeply and go into the downward-facing dog from the tabletop posture. Lift your sit bones towards the sky and lengthen your tailbone away from your pelvis. Stretch your heels to the floor and tighten your outer thighs and arms, evenly distributing your weight via your hands and heels.

Keep your head between your upper arms, and don’t let it droop. Stay in this position for 1–3 minutes, inhaling deeply with each inhalation and slowly exhaling.

Downward-facing dog is not only one of the most well-known yoga postures, but it is also one of the most healthful. It energizes the body and helps relax the brain, reducing stress and moderate sadness. It’s a fantastic full-body stretch that goes well with just about any yoga practice.

Corpse Pose (Savasana):

We end our practice by returning to Savasana, where we began. The CBD has had plenty of time to work its magic. Your body and mind should feel active but fully relaxed due to the mild postures you just completed.

Allow your breathing to become calm, easy, and devoid of any stress or strain. Visualize a wave of calming, white energy flowing down from the top of your head to the tips of your toes, removing any remaining tension.

Allow your mind to become completely quiet and still, devoid of any movement or thinking, and allow yourself to remain in the present moment’s serenity. With each breath, concentrate on broad, expansive inhalations and deep, prolonged exhalations.

Allow yourself to enjoy the relaxation and quiet that this CBD-inspired yoga sequence provides by remaining in this last resting posture for 10–15 minutes. For CBD products? Leave that on Saha Self-Care. We will provide every suitable CBD product with top quality.
